This a town called shingnapur, near Nashik in Karnataka. It is a famous pilgrimage center for those who worship shani (saturn). Another thing famous about this town is that no building has a door in it. Even the banks and jewellery stores are without doors. There is a saying that anyone who steals something in shingnapur cannot leave shingnapur alive. This is believed to be because of Shani's Dasha. Also, people out here believed that enclosure is the worst punishment anyone can face. Even worse than death. They believe that if you are in an enclosed room it is like a prison though you may call it as a luxury suite. They believe that closed enclosures block there thoughts and a man's life is spiritless in an enclosed room. Because of this faith people of this town travel in open trucks only. They don't even enter cars or buses. So now you have two reasons to visit shingnapur one is to see the houses and he second one is of course the pilgrimage.

wAtEr bOilS dIfFerEntLy iN sPAcE

You might have observed boiling of water in your everyday life but this common process has a different face when done in a different environment.

Here it has less variables effecting the boiling of water. Two major variables which are commonly present here on earth but absent in space are :-

1> Gravitational Force
2> Air Pressure

Removing the effects caused by these forces causes the water to boil in a different way than usual. As all of us know that water is an insulator. When water is heated on earth hot water at the base being lighter than the cooler water at the top goes up and the cooler water comes down in turn to get heated and the cycle continues. But here in space as there is no gravity cooler water remains at the top causing the heated water to get hotter. The heat flow is only through convection.

Further when water at the base vapourises to form a bubble. This bubble remains there intact as no there is no buoyant force as there is no air pressure. Further the small air bubbles combine to form a big air bubble which again acts an insulator of heat.

This experiment was conducted by NASA(National Aeronautics and Space Administration) and i read it in an article so I thought that I should share it on my blog.

GanEsHa's sYmBoliSm

An elephant's trunk has the strength to uproot a tree as well as the finesse to pick up a needle.

Ganesha's trunk symbolises the fact that the wise person has both immense strength and fine discrimination. Ganesha has large ears. The wise person hears all. He has four hands. In one hand he holds a lotus, the symbol of enlightenment. In the other hand he holds a hatchet. That is, the old karma, all your sanskars, the accumulated good and bad of past deeds get cut when enlightenment comes.

The third hand holds laddus, the round sweet-meats. They are the rewards of a wise life. Ganesha is never shown eating the laddus. The wise man never partakes of the rewards of his deeds. He is not attached to them. The fourth hand is shown blessing the people. The wise man wishes the best for everyone.

Ganesha has only one tusk; the other is shown broken. There is an interesting story as to how Ganesh happened to get an elephant's head and how one tusk got broken. The symbolism of the broken tusk is that the wise person is beyond duality.

We tend to think that we end when our bodies end in the material world. We are the first person. All else is different. This duality is created by the mind which creates the ego to help us survive in this world. This 'me-other' duality is the screen keeping us from realising our real Self, which is beyond body and mind. Once we transcend this duality, we see the entire Universe as a single whole and we become aware of our true Selves. The single tusk of Ganesha symbolises this non-duality. Wisdom allows us to see all as one and ourselves an integral part of the whole.

Ganesha is shown sitting with one foot on the ground and the other resting on his knee, above the ground. The wise person is of this earth, yet not entirely of this earth.

Ganesha is shown seated on a rat. The reason for saying that Ganesha 'rides' on the rat is that the rat is among the greediest of all animals. It will keep nibbling at whatever is available, eating everything it can. Scientifically, too, the rat's teeth keep growing and it has to keep chewing on something to keep these within limits. The rat is a symbol of our senses, which are never satisfied. They crave new experiences, new tastes. Left uncontrolled, they keep growing forever. The wise person rides on his senses. He keeps them under control.

Ganesha is often shown seated in front of a tray of sweets. In these images the rat is shown sitting in front of Ganesha, perhaps a bit to one side, looking up at him. The senses of the wise person are under his control and the rat dare not eat the sweets without the permission of Ganesha.

Ganesha is the son of Shiva and Parvati, the God governing the life-force and the earth-mother. This symbolises the spirit and body of the wise person. Finally, the wise person has the dignity of an elephant.

When we say "Aum Ganeshaya Namah" before starting anything what we are saying is that "In what we are about to do, let wisdom be our guide". In a sense, Ganesha is our most powerful god, and he is usually remembered before starting any rituals for other deities.

LeT mE gaThEr mY ThoUgHts,,,!!!

Sharing my personel thoughts......which I think are rare enough.....

Actually i joined an IT MNC 3 days back. The First two days was an induction programme and today was my first day in office. Today there was nothing much to do but just an hr session which makes us leardn to work in a team and helps in personality development. All this was awsome and will help me a lot in my future but still there is a little dissatisfaction in my mind. Many questions that come to my mind everytime I go off to sleep.
Is this the place where I really wished to be...?
Is this the way to the ultimate goal of my life......?
The answer is always a "BIG NO"
Actually i never wished to be here. What I actually wish is do work for myself.
Means to have a business of my own.
Actually I am from a business family and my father can also help me up to start a new business but still I have an expectation from myself. So i joined here in an IT mnc so that i should not take help from my father, inspite I think that I shall take risks in my life and he can act as a Backup whenever i fail in my life.
He is suffficient to provide me atleast with fooding and lodging as long as he is working. But still I want to become something on myself without his help.
So for that reason I joined here but now also I am not fully satisfied with my job.
Its not because the job is tidious or something else, but i still think that I am capable something more than this. Actually much more than this.
And I will soon I will take steps to work for it, to achieve my dream which i am not clear with.
So I answer myself by saying that here I am to get some initial starting amout so from which I can start with and an take some risks in life and even if I don't succeed my father don't have to face any problem because of me.

So be here and keep checking as i will update regularly, the steps to my success.
Also you can comment on my ideas and views for my future, as I am open to new ideas and advices.

cArP tREatmEnT : gaRRa rUfA

This is a new type of treatment scaling up globally. In this treatment your hand as well as toes are nibbled by a type of carp called garra rufa, or doctor fish. These fishes nibble up your dead skin from your toes and hands thus making then soft again. It is a natural therapy being taken by many Hollywood Actresses. As it is scaling up globaaly it is hard to say at which all places it has started but I know that its being done at Yvonne Hair and Nails salon in Alexandria, Virginia.

mOst eXpeNsiVe shOEs: 1 miLLion poUndS

Would you feel like a princess or what when you wear something worth 1m pounds? The most expensive shoes in the world were on sale at Harrods in London. After a photo-call for the press, the shoes were locked away in a bullet-proof case where they will be guarded round-the-clock. The shoes, inspired by the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz, were woven from platinum thread and set with 642 rubies. They were designed by Stuart Weitzman.

IIM-A gRaDuAte seLLs vEGetAbLes cHasINg a drEaM

Unlike of an IIM graduate for whom sky is the limit in corporate matters, Kaushalendra of Nalanda district with a management degree from IIM, Ahmedabad under his belt chose to sell vegetables on the streets of Patna and still dreamt to make it big.

How on earth can somebody make it big by selling etables?

Meet 27-year-old Kaushalendra, son of a college demonstrator in the nondescript block town of Ekangarsarai in Nalanda district, who says, "I have a dream to build Bihar into a vegetable hub of the country. I want vegetables grown in Bihar on dining tables everywhere -- from Srinagar to Salem, from Shillong to Surat."

Perhaps the most highly educated green grocer India has ever produced, he has founded a farmers' cooperative 'Samriddhi' which sells vegetables in ice-cooled pushcarts.

The private-public partnership venture, launched about a couple of months ago with assistance from the Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) with just one pushcart, has now placed an order for 50 more, thanks to a collateral-free loan of Rs 50 lakh from the Punjab National Bank.

Most expensive cocktail: 15,250 pounds

The world's most expensive cocktail contains a diamond ring instead of an olive! The drink, created by Harvey Nichols in Manchester, has to be escorted to diner's tables flanked by security guards. The dazzle cocktail contains a six and a half carrot pink tourmaline and diamond ring set in 18-carrot white gold. The drink was the brainchild of senior bartender Jay Malik, 24, who was asked to devise a drink to fit with the restaurant's Pink Dinners month. A special safe has been brought in for the bar to keep the rings in and customers can choose any ring they want from the range -the most expensive being a 27,000 pounds sterling two-carrot engagement ring

tRuE hErOes

These are some of the true hereos, i have ever heard about.
I will always like to meet them once in my lifetime.

An earthquake, magnitude 8.0, struck Sichuan Province of CHina at 2:28PM, May 12,2008. The epicenter of the earthquake, Wenchuan, is about 90 miles from Chengdu. The earthquake released more power than 500 atomic bombs, 30 times more than the Kobe earthquake in japan, 1995. By May 19, there are more than 32,000 confirmed dead, more than 20,000 still missing, and more than4.7 million collapsed or heavily damaged.

Cities close to epicenter are flattened, whole mountains collapsed.

Devastation

Millions of people lost their beloved ones, their homes, their belongings. Yet there is no looting, no complaints, just people helping each other.

Within hours, people rushed to rescue. Blood donation lines run for 100 yards, and people waited hours to donate blood, within 24 hours, all storage bank ran out storage space. The highway to the eartquake struck city Dujianyang (20 mile from Chendgu ) was almost jammed one hour after the earthquake, not by people fleeing the aftershocks, but by volunteers, led by over 1,000 taxi drivers, came from Chengdu to rescue.

Chen Guanbiao, owner of a big construction company 15,0 miles from the disaster area, just 2 hour 30 minutes after the earthquake, started transporting 60 construction machineries and led 120 volunteers to rescue. they arrived at the disaster area 24 hours later, almost the same time as Army Engineer Corp.

Medical workers provided care under extreme conditions, they even delivered many new born babies on the parking lot.

Wen Jiabao (66), Chinese Prime Minister, boarded on a plane 30 minutes after the earthquake, and arrived in disasterarea in 2 hours. He has been the chief of the rescue operation since then, working almost around clock at the frontline with rescue workers.

11,000 paratroopers started boarding airplanes 2 hours after the earthquake. Despite heavy rain, high wind and thick cloud, they jumped from over 20,000 foot high to remote mountain areas where they did not even know if there woukld be a place for them to land. They first jumpe doff plane was Senior Colonel Li Zhenbo (51).

With roads buried b landslide and bad weather hammering air borne operations, a group of 600 soldiers and medical teams, let by Major General Xia Guofo (57), Commander in Chief of Sichuan Military District, walked 21 hours straight on foot in mountain area, carrying heavy relief supplies, risking landslide an falling rocks. They became the first group to arrive at the epicenter of the earthquake.

Soldiers and Rescue workers working around the clock to rescue people still buried. Unableto transport heavy machineries to the remote areas since roads are buried by landslides, they often have to use hands to move tons of concrete.

People are rushing to donate money, MAny rich people donated in millions, but no one can match Xu Chao (60), on the right. HE is a homeles in NAnjing, 1000 miles from the disaster area. He saw the news and went to donate 5 Yuan in the morning. He said people in disaster area were worse off then him because their lives were threatened. He came back in the afternoon, donated another 100 Yuan($14). He explained that all he ahd were pennies and dines, and he didn't want to waste volunteer workers' time to count them, so he went to bank to change to change everything he had into a big bill. This is from a man who doesn't have money to buy food for himself.

Song Xinying (3), pulled out from rubbble after being buried for 2 days. She was in critical condition and lost a leg, but survived. Her parents hold each other hands and shoulders face to face to make an arch to shield her from the falling building. Her parents did not make it out.

A 5 year old boy was rescued after being buried under rubbles for 24 hours. His left hand was broken, but he smiled and saluted to his rescuers. His smile made everybody cry.

<

Zhang Jiwang (11), carrying his sister Zhang HAn (3), walked 12 hours straight to flee the disaster center.

p class="mobile-photo">

Yuan Wentin (26), first grade teacher. When the earthquake struck, she rushed to carry her students from the classroom on th e3rd floor to the ground. She managed to pull out most of her students, but the building collapsed when she was trying to pull out the last few. At the last moment of her life, she was trying to use her body to shield the students from falling concrete.

This high school student was rescued from th ecollapsed building. She lost both legs, and her both hands are broken. The rescue workers were all in tears when they saw this. She smiled to them : "Be Brave !"

This baby, after being buried over 24 hours, miraculously, was rescued unscratched. He is about 3-4 months old, an dhis mother kneeled down, pinned her head and hands on the ground to sheild him from falling concrete, and milked him. His mother did not make it out. A rescue worker found his mom's cell phone in his wrapper. It had a text message left by his mother." Dear child, if you survive, please remember, Mom loves you forever...."

See its a way to measure the accuracy of both

1-> Company who Build the bridge
2-> Company who manufactures the Truck

If at all there was a slight difference the truck wouldn't have been able to pass.

So plz dont try this if you own a truck..

FreEconOmY

What is a Freeconomy?

A Freeconomy is a moneyless society in which no money changes and there is no duality between giving and receiving here they are seen as the two sides of the same non-monetary coin.

Freeconomy is a manifestation of trust, kindness, community and love. Money and credit are a manifestation of fear, insecurity and greed. Freeconomy is the common denominator to all of its solutions. Money and credit are the common denominators of all the world's ills.

Right now freeconomies are the minority. This is unimportant. Soon they will be the overwhelming majority. Each one of us is a seed. The regenerative power of one seed cannot be underestimated. A forest can grow from the germination of a single seed, and similarly one simple act of generosity can give life to an infinite number of others.

So what is The Freeconomy Community about?

It's about making the transition from a money-based communityless society to a community-based moneyless society.
It's about helping others and providing an opportunity for others to help you.
It's about sharing the skills you have learnt through your life and learning those you haven't.
It's about sharing your tools so you all can have access to all the tools under the sun without it costing the earth.
It's about using any free space you have to either benefit positive, ethical and local projects, or to enable volunteers to keep doing their amazing work for free.
It's about sharing the land you don't need in order to facilitate a local food community.
It's about freeconnecting neighbours.
It's about learning to help each other again.
It's about getting ready for a post peak oil world.
It's about making dinner for a friend who was yesterday a stranger.
It's about keeping money out of the equation.
It's about communicating face-to-face and phasing out technological communication.
It's about putting the soul back into society.
It's about helping each other not for profit, but just for the love-ofit.
